Natural stone has been quarried and used as a primary building material for centuries. Quarrying techniques have evolved from chisels and hammers to the use of compressed air to drive long drills deep into the rock face. These core holes allow the quarry workers to seperate large blocks of stone from the mountain. The large blocks are then transported to the factory where they are sawn into individual slabs and polished to reveal their hidden beauty.
